We are pleased to have Lama Mark Webber give a class on clarifying the importance of understanding karma (causality) in Buddhist meditation practice, study and conduct. Lama Mark wrote: “One could say, classically, that all of Buddhism and all of it’s study, conduct and meditation is about understanding karma: from recognizing the pain and turbulence of negative mental states, to nurturing stable relative happiness, through to revealing Buddha-karma, the spontaneous intent and activity of awakened compassion. Not only do we need to be able to discern the causality of that which is wholesome and that which is unwholesome—as a profound level of wisdom—but be able to see that all our practice is heading to a freedom of pristine natural compassion. This is the great Yoga. That is the purpose of all Buddhist meditation, study and excellent conduct.”
This class is beneficial for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.
