23rd Crystal Mountain Summer Retreat, Galiano Island, BC

with LHO KARMA RATNA RINPOCHE and LAMA CHOKYI GYALTSEN (LAMA MARK WEBBER)

We are overjoyed to announce that Lho Ratna Rinpoche has accepted the heartfelt invitations of Lama Mark Webber, CMS and NYBCC to teach at Crystal Mountain Society’s 23rd Annual Summer Retreat in August. Rinpoche and Lama will share the teachings for the month. Lho Karma Ratna Rinpoche has indicated that he would like to give the oral instructions of Orgyen Chemchog Nuden Dorje Tsal, a great saint of the early 20th century. The previously announced teaching schedule will be adjusted to fulfill transmission and teaching opportunities by Rinpoche.

It is unknown whether tenting will be allowed on the Crystal Mountain land this summer. Current Crystal Mountain accommodations are very limited, and anyone interested in attending the retreat is encouraged to acquire their own housing arrangement after registering with Barbara Shields.  Space for the teachings is also limited; please register early.

The Practitioner Support Fund is available for those requiring financial assistance.

Lho Karma Ratna Rinpoche

Ratna Rinpoche (Orgyen Drodul Dorje Rinpoche) was born in Mandi (Zahor) India in 1980. Numerous auspicious signs accompanied his birth, and accomplished yogis had clear visions that the son of Lho Ontul Rinpoche and Tashi Dolma was a being of great scope. In 2003 he was officially recognized by H.H. Dalai Lama and H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche as the ‘Quality Emanation’ of the 4th Lho Drongtrul, the great early 20th century Drikung Treasure revealer Orgyen Lho Nuden Dorje (1835-1902).
