Understanding Karma:

A commentary on the teaching subject by Lama Mark Webber

The Foundation for the Five Seals of Dharma Realization is the understanding of karma and how confusion arises, i.e. mental intention, cause and effect, and confusion over the experience of appearances to mind. 

The purification of mental intentions from unwholesome to beatific states is one of the most essential realizations and practices of Dharma, followed by the steady recognition of non-clinging awareness and great love.

There are many methods of purification of karmic formations and the confusion over our experiences. We will start with tuning up attentiveness and recollection of our experience. The varied methods are suitable to different types of personalities. 

In Ortisei, Lama Webber will explain and gradually give practices of different approaches culminating a Vajrasattva practice from Padmasambhava and a transmission of White Manjusri and Sarasvati by Rinchen Puntsog with a White Manjusri empowerment (from the Drikung Kagyu collection of 50 empowerments).

Dana for the Teacher

As is traditional, the teachings of Buddha Dharma are offered freely – Lama Gyaltsen receives no fee. The course fee only covers the teacher’s expenses during his European Tour. (Accommodation, food, travelling and medicine)

However, there is an opportunity for participants to show their gratitude for the teachings and to help support the teacher. As a guideline, a minimum of EUR 20.00 per class is suggested.
